9/10/12

"Following an uneventful day at Klubschule, Nadia and I cooked a traditional dish, vermicelles.  In autumn, Switzerland is filled with the scent of roasting chestnuts, sold by vendors on street corners near the train station.  Many homemade dishes come from these seasonal nuts, though vermicelles is my host mom's favorite.  Made by cooking, blending, and pureeing the chestnuts, the dessert is most commonly eaten with cream and meringues."
