"I joined my host sister at her confirmation's choir rehearsal and had one of the biggest culture shocks yet.  During one of our breaks, a kid brought out a packet of drugs and started snorting the powder.  The leader saw him and took him further from the group to talk to him.  After a bit, he handed the kid a cigar, and the two of them smoked together for a while.  It was a very interesting show of leadership in a foreign church."
